At The Parsonage

Essie’s first ponytail!

It’s been a busy weekend and this week will be no different. We’re getting ready for vacation bible school at our church and for the first time since we’ve been here, I’m attempting to teach and seeing why I haven’t been eager to do so before (even though I would have liked too). It takes some time to prepare for that, time I feel like I’m really having to squeeze in.

We’re also getting ready for our two week trip to Texas!!! We leave next Sunday, so packing, washing, cleaning etc will be squeezed into this week too. Just letting y’all know so you understand why this blog might be quieter than usual for the next few weeks!

Thanks to my Aunty Leah who introduced me to Christy Jordan of Southern Plate, the babies have been enjoying some online story time.

Christy Jordan reads children’s books to kiddos and mine love it! You can watch her here. I love hearing her Alabama talk. Makes me really want to get back down there soon. Which, Alabama family, we hope to do next summer! Hope to do if we survive this trip to Texas first.

Daddy’s little princesses.

Just a few minutes from our porch. Times like this I just laugh and wonder where all these babies came from. I love seeing them play together. The good times don’t always last long before someone is hurt or mad, but I try to enjoy them while I get them.

Again, Lily doing her grownup thing. It cracks me up seeing her sit this way and gives a look at what age ’20’ will like…sigh.

See, getting so grown up.

Memorial day cupcakes made from our left over Pentecost cupcakes. Glad I had some red and blue sprinkles on hand.

These adorable pillow case dresses were made by my Mama. They got here just in time for Memorial day and we’ll get to wear them again in July!
