The Ninth Day of Christmas

January 2nd, 2012 by Aubri

With only 4 more days of Christmas left it’s easy to start feeling a little blue. I’m ready to get our house back in order but I’m still enjoying the festive atmosphere, our Christmas tree and the gifts we’re opening each morning.

This morning we had a special breakfast since this is the last day Lily won’t have to go off to school right away. We had Christmas tree and Gingerbread Man toast with Nutella and Strawberry preserves, Ham and Egg Cups and Cranberry Chocolate Chip Muffins.

Then sat around thinking how French Esther looks with the “hat” Gerhardt gave her.

After lunch the big girls and Daddy played our new Candy Land game! Of course Daddy won.

May the Nativity of our Lord continue to bring comfort and joy to you all!

How exciting to see Candy Land! I recently read that the lady who invented the game was a believer who had a heart for missions, and when she died she left the royalties to a ministry by the name of Every Home for Christ! That is a ministry I love and there was a write-up about Candy Land in the November magazine. It was amazing to read how much money had gone to printing the gospel to be hand-delivered to homes around the world. Dick Eastman is the President of that ministry. I’ll see if I can find the article online and email it to you.
