This year I dressed the babies up as some of our favorite story characters. Lily is Heidi and I’d originally planned on making all of them characters from that story; Heidi, Klara, Peter and a baby goat. Clara however, would not be “Klara” for Halloween. So I went a different direction, Clara and Gerhardt were Hansel and Gretel, Esther was still a baby goat, she’s so much more compliant than the others…
Esther’s supposed to be a Nubian goat, they have floppy ears like this but I realized she looked more like a puppy dog. Oh well, she was still cute!
All the business and shops on Main St. stay open to give out candy. It was great to be outside this year and not have to wear coats!
I didn’t spend a dime on anyone’s costume. Phil and I got these dirndls while we were in Germany last summer and I wanted the girls to have more chances to wear them. They worked out perfectly!
Our neighbors house is the only one we stop at to “trick-or-treat”. They have to get pictures each year.
Home to enjoy the loot at last!
The girls had a great time giving out candy. Lily thought the kids would surely be lining up for Crunch bars and Snickers, “Where are they?”.
Maybe the baby in the dirty diaper had something to do with why no one was coming.
Hope you all had a fun night!
love all the photos! glad your “puter” is working again!
What a FUN post! Your babies are precious! I love the idea of storybook characters. This blog brought me lots of smiles – thanks – a great way to end the day here in Sweet Home Alabama.
