It’s been busy couple weeks at the parsonage. Our wildflower patch is finally blooming and not looking like weeds. Lily brought one in for me sans stem. They’re harder to pick than you think! Notice, I left the stack of newspapers in the picture for your viewing pleasure.
I can tell that the summer is coming to an end. Things seem to be picking up for us, I suppose everyone is squeezing in all those summer activities we enjoy before life gets “back to normal”.
We hosted the “Circuit Picnic” this year when all the pastors and their families in our area get together. We had a great turn out and some yummy eats!

Phil had his beer in the Annual Beer Fest here in town again. As always, it was a hit.
And since I’ve had extra help around the house this week I had some “spare time” and energy to take a walk with the family. The weather has also been wonderful this week, in the 80s, so I’m happy to get outside a little more. We went down to our mini-mart and let the girls spend some of their birthday money. They each bought a pack of M&Ms all by themselves. We’re starting to teach them about spending money, that we have to first work to earn it, then “trade” it for something we want. We also save some and “give some to Jesus”.
