Tonight while reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” Clara pointed to the fat caterpillar (after he’d eaten all that food he eats and gets a tummy ache) and said “Too mush” before Phil could. Then she said “Coon!” knowing that on the following page that caterpillar would be getting inside his cocoon.
It’s just amazing to me that she remembers the story and is now able to communicate that by TALKING! It’s the little things folks! The little things that really are the big things.
Aubri, your children are simply just beautiful….I LOVE their eyes and their little faces!! You take amazing pictures of them too…did you take a photography class….or course? I would love to take pictures like that!!! Can you teach me??
Oh thank you Kathy! No I’ve not had any classes and I just have a point and shoot type camera, so nothing fancy there. I guess the only tips I would have would be: I try to get good light (usually natural light, morning sun and late afternoon early evening light at our house is good) and I try NOT to use a flash when I can, which makes it really hard to get a good one of wiggly babies and toddlers for sure! I just snap a ton at a time and eventually you have to get something good right?! That’s the nice thing about digital cameras! I also try different angles, getting low with them and up close. Of course, I do have great little subjects so that has been helpful too!
