All week I’ve been telling the girls about St. Patrick, who he was, how he loved Jesus and the Irish people. We did some coloring and crafts earlier in the week. And I had a lot of grand plans for today. Green pancakes or yummy chocolate chip scones were going to be served for breakfast. Then rainbow cupcakes for snack time. None of it happened.
I’ve kind of been in a fog this week for some reason and just haven’t been able to get it together. Even our catechumen in their confirmation class noticed I failed them when they asked where their St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes from Aubri were. In past years I’ve managed to make cupcakes for them, then…not this year. Sigh.
We did however manage to go with Phil to “town” and spend some time at the library then to our favorite family eatery and we all (well, not Phil of course) wore “the green”. So it was indeed a happy St. Patrick’s Day, even without those scones for which the ingredients are sitting on my kitchen counter as I type this.
And look at one more baby in the now traditional St. Patrick’s Day onesie!
Pretty Clara last year.
And little (and by little I mean look at that chub!) Lily Ruth way back in 2009!
how fun to have them all share the Irish onsie! I love it! 🙂
