Today is Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, Mardis Gras or Pancake Tuesday. Tradition being “get rid of all the fat, butter and eggs in the house because Lent starts tomorrow”. What batter way to do that than by making pancakes?
While we are not getting rid of our fat today, we did decide to eat some fatty crepes (they sounded better than pancakes which I make a LOT of). I’ve learned I’m not very good at making these and should just stick to pancakes, but they were tasty at least.
And look what’s found it’s way back into our yard…snow. We expect more of this through tomorrow. It’s getting REALLY hard to keep the barbarians from getting too restless. This time of year starts to wear us all down wondering if “playing outside” is a just something we read about one time in a book and will never actually be for us. Poor, poor us.
So a lot of this happens.
