Our Christmas Eve

February 10th, 2020 by Aubri

Dec. 24: I know it’s probably some kind of special sin that the Pastor’s wife can’t remember Christmas Eve. It’s coming back to me in pieces though. We all made an attempt to attend our candle light service that night which I forgot about. But I left early with the Littles because there was a lot of whining and a tired baby and mama. I remember it all now…

When the bigs returned home we ate something for supper, there might have been real deal hot chocolate if I’m not making that up, then we got to the nitty gritty of opening our 2 Christmas Eve gifts from Grandmere, new PJs and each an ornament for the tree.

We quickly mixed up some “Donkey Food” for Mary’s donkey, then it was time for a tradition the babies love by now, singing around the tree.

Once the babies go downstairs Mama flips back on all the lights and gets to work for Christmas morning. Stockings stuffed and always prayers Christmas day is a bit ‘easier’ than Christmas Eve.
