This week we have finally had a break from our cold temperatures. It’s felt like Spring up here but won’t last don’t worry. The last few weeks have been hard on us as this Winter drags on. With temps below zero we didn’t get out much.
The girls have been climbing the walls. So I’ve been busy trying to come up with things for them to do. Here’s what we’ve been up to.
Water fun in the kitchen. Why haven’t I done this sooner? They stood here for an hour playing with water and noodles!
We made apple and potato stamps and went crazy.
So tempted to take a bite…
We played in the bathtub in the middle of the day. The girls love their bubble baths!
Phil even needed some play time and started on his annual “igloo”.
This was the day we knew “we are almost in the clear”. We could see grass! And we didn’t have to wear our big coats out. It was wonderful to be outside again!
Clara had to help Phil move this railroad tie back in place.
Gerhardt wore gloves on his feet for fun. We’ve also been watching more shows on Netflix and PBS than most “good” parents would let their children but I’ve stopped being that “good” I guess.
What do you do to keep kiddos happy during the winter?
