*Oops. This post is a bit out of order.
This was probably the first time there was no rush to get home from the hospital, especially for me since I could tell this was going to be a different kind of recovery after birth, but we decided to get on home Tuesday evening because Winter was coming on Wednesday in a bad way.
To say the babies were excited to meet the new baby is the understatement of 2019. How I wish we could have recorded the frenzy. It was crazy and adorable.
Alas, I only have about 11 seconds of the residual happiness that was in the air.
And of course all the holding began.
I half expected THIS to be Martha’s reaction to baby brother, a year ago it probably would have been but she really has blossomed into a sweet baby loving little lady.
This might be the only time Josephine has wanted to hold him. She’s not as enthusiastic just yet about this new person who drinks from a bottle and spits white stuff out of his mouth.
We’re thankful to have my Mama and my Auntie here to help out during this transition! They had to have a hold too.
