Our Ember Days.
September 20th was the beginning of the Autumnal Embertide. It’s been our tradition for some years to mark the turning of Summer into Fall by taking a little walk around the block to notice any changes in creation. Per usual there don’t seem to be very many obvious signs of Fall just the slight ending of Summer instead.
We didn’t take a long walk this year, actually we just stayed in the yard and down to the garden next to the church. We had had some lovely Fall like weather so getting outside in the mornings or after lunch has been a must on the To Do list.
I’m always so happy once Holy Cross day arrives and then right after the Fall ember days. This means something very dear to me…Fall is coming.
How quickly the fall embertide days come around each year! :/
