I thought we’d better get a family picture today after church while everyone was looking so pretty. It took a while but we actually got all of us looking at the CAMERA! And, no meltdowns!
Getting a picture of the girls together in a photo is another matter, but I couldn’t believe they actually stood together for at least enough ‘seconds’ for me to get this nice of a picture. Sure Lily looks disgusted or like this picture taking stuff couldn’t be more boring, but hey, they were still and “posing”!
Then the crazies kicked in.
When we got home we found “mystery” packages around the house. That’s the pleasure of living in a parsonage I suppose, parishioners welcome themselves, but hey, if they’re leaving cinnamon rolls and Moose Munch, I’m okay with that.
And this super cute card.
Isn’t that the neatest card?! Lily played with it all day.
Five stocking this year!
This evening I put out my Nativity set. Mary and baby Jesus will be added on Christmas Eve and then the Wise Men closer to Epiphany.
“Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.”
Matthew 1:20-24
During our family time before bed we talked about waiting for Jesus. When Lily prayed tonight she first thanked our Lord for Macaroni and Cheese, then said “I waiting for Jesus”.
Very nice family picture!
