Mama singing: Nobody knows the trouble I seen. Nobody knows my sorrow.
Ephraim: Mama. I know.
Breakfast conversation.
Lily eating monkey bread: Since these look like stones we’re pretending to be witches and we’re eating stones.
Clara getting the cereal: Lily, the cereal is pebbles and rotten mushroom juice.
Poor Lily living in a parking lot and being kept awake by crickets.
And much of my day is spent just trying to figure out what in the world Ephraim and Mercy are trying to say:
Mercy asking for something from Mama.
Mama: You want a Huge Taco?
Mercy: No. Repeats….
Mama: A New Passport?
Mercy: No. Repeats….
Mama: You threw Esther?
Mercy: Nooo! Repeats….
Mama: Oh! Two Crackers.
Ephraim asking Mama for Something.
Mama: You want Sausage no carrots?
Ephraim: Noooo. Repeats….
Mama: Sauce with no hair?
Ephraim: Noooo. Repeats….
Mama: Oh! A pot with no stirrer.
Hey. You try it sometime!
Love, love, love Ephraim’s shirt!
Here goes —
Me: You want chili and bread?
Josie: Nooooo. Repeats…
Me: Bananas and milk?
Josie: Noooooo. Repeats…
Me: Oh! Your diaper stinks, and you want Daddy to change it.
“I live in a church parking lot” – Awesome!
And I, too, love that shirt.
🙂
