A Bundle of Myrrh

Gerhardt turned SIX on August 28th. We celebrated his six super years with a Superhero party.

As of that morning he had said he wanted a Star Wars party but then he was all about superheroes. Since Daddy was out and about that morning with the kids, he took him to Target to pick out some plates and a cake. I gathered up other supplies from around the house.

No, I can not make lightening bolts to save my life, apologies to the Flash.

We paused our party for a moment to enjoy the fly that had landed on Vernon’s head.

He’s come a long way since THIS birthday party when he thought if he ignored us we’d all stop singing. It didn’t work btw.

After cake we went to the yard for some “Dash the Flash” games. The Flash made a surprise appearance. So surprising that everyone kept looking around for him and asking where he was after I’d introduced him. The Flash AKA Daddy in a red shirt.

The competition was fierce. After a fumble on the hurdles Gerhardt was no longer in the mood to Dash anything. But the girls were!

The girls were no match for The Flash. He is the fastest man in the world after all.

They tried to beat him backwards.

 Even tried to beat him while holding Martha. But The Flash wins every time.

Happy Birthday Gerhardt! We’re glad you’re 6!
