Our Advent “Wreath”

December 9th, 2010 by Aubri

I had to clean and redecorate our advent wreath this morning since the greenery was beginning to shed and look pitifully like switches. While it was in its naked state I wanted to take the opportunity to show you all the base that was designed and handmade by Phil. I looked everywhere for another advent wreath this year and was about to put down $30 for one I found online when he said he could probably make one for us.

He wasn’t able to make a circle so I wasn’t sure how I would make it look like the “wreath” I had in mind. I also didn’t have the materials to shape my greenery so I just placed it around the candles.

Here it is finished (with original greenery). I think it turned out nicely and am very proud of Phil for making this for us. Thanks Pookie!

  1. Hi! I like your Advent “wreath.” Mine is similar but it a round cut from a tree trunk–same idea though–drilled holes for the candles and greens laid on top. I think yours is very cute!

Hey, that works! I need to figure something out for ours, I have some playdough holding my candles up right now.
