I wasn’t going to write about this, I really would just rather forget it ever happened, but I figured I’d let you all know that THIS happened Monday:
I was headed home from grocery shopping in the city. The roads got icy pretty fast. I slid off the highway and slammed into a tree.
After something like this happens you think of all the ways it could have been much worse. I’m so thankful that no one was with me in the van, no one else was around me on the highway, I didn’t go off into one of the many steep ditches on this road, I didn’t flip over (probably due to the tree that stopped me) and of course that I wasn’t hurt.
I did loose 10 of the 24 gallons of milk that were in the back. We really needed that milk….
And now I guess we’re in the market for a new 15 passenger van. I’m hoping for one that isn’t “Kidnapper Van White” but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose.
Ron mentioned this to me…I’m so thankful that you weren’t hurt, and that none of your kiddos was with you! Hopefully your hubby made it home safely!
Monday’s weather did turn nasty in a hurry. Soooo thankful for your safety.
I guess you’ll be choosing a name for your new VAN.
Maybe you would consider a purchase like this:

OR this: I like to call it the Blue Light Special

So glad you are alright! The Lord will provide the milk and the van.
Sandy, I was very glad the kids weren’t with me too, course I like to think I’d be smart enough not to attempt being on the road when the weather even hinted snow/ice with my babies! Wish I hadn’t been. Phil is on his way home now and then I just want everyone to stay put for a long time!
Kristi, “big four wheelinโ, mud slinginโ, rock crawlinโ, van” is DEFINITELY ME! Phil is more the Executive Minibus though…hilarious! I think we may have you name our next van! ๐
Rebekah, funny you said that. My FIL just went to the big city this morning to buy us more milk! God has provided!
Oh Aubri! So glad you are okay!
What a scary way to start the week though – yuck! Praying for peace for you, milk and a new (affordable) van…and whatever else you need too… ๐
John got his first placement for Internship (vicarage) yesterday – starting June 2! We’re starting to get really excited….

So thankful for God’s protection and provision! Thanks to Grandpaw for all the help and the milk! ๐
Giving thanks God’s angels were there keeping you safe! Hoping He provides a new affordable van soon.
My husband told me about this. He was at the Conference, too. I’m glad you were kept safe. Real bummer about the van ๐ I hope your next one is a light grey, maybe? A stylish blue? ๐ Although you’re So right, we beggars . . . Sometimes we have to work the Kidnapper White ๐
Take care.
Ugh . . .I totally tried to make the sad sticking out the tongue face emoticon on the van condolences. Oops!
Thank you all. Lisa, Phil showed one to me in RED! We would all look pretty great in red!
Also….:) ;0 :[ ๐ …. <3
A red Baby Bus!!! Woot! Woot!
