Yesterday we observed All Saint’s Day.
“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.” Revelation 7:9
“And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” Revelation 7:14
“Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.” John 11:25-26
We think on Christians through the ages who have lived and died for their Faith in Jesus. They leave an example for us.
We remember those loved ones who have gone to be with Jesus, who have no more pain, who have no more tears.
Who know fully what we can only see dimly now.
And we feast knowing we will rejoice in heaven with them.
“Thou wast their Rock, their Fortress, and their Might;
Thou, Lord, their Captain in the well-fought fight;
Thou, in the darkness drear, their one true Light.
Alleluia! Alleluia!”
“O blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
All are one in Thee, for all are Thine.
Alleluia, Alleluia!”
“The golden evening brightens in the west;
Soon, soon to faithful warriors comes their rest;
Sweet is the calm of paradise the blessed.
Alleluia, Alleluia!”
“But lo! there breaks a yet more glorious day;
The saints triumphant rise in bright array;
The King of glory passes on His way.
Alleluia, Alleluia!”
Also, today I’m 40 weeks into this pregnancy, this is my “due date”. I’m tired and ready to get what comes next over with. I’m ready to hold this baby girl.
I am worried though. We have sickness going around the house.
Colds, runny noses, coughing. This might be a very stressful week.
Other than feeling like the Cold is coming for me I’m feeling pretty good at this point. Uncomfortable but considering all, I’m doing very well. Still no contractions but hoping I’ve progressed a bit since Friday. We’ll find out this afternoon and my doctor will go ahead and use a handy little trick to see if we can get labor going. That’s worked on the past 3 babies so we may see this little sugar in the next day or two!
