Today is Lily’s second birthday! She’s now officially two years old, “I two!” she says. We’re certainly entering a new realm of childhood with her and it’s a joy (most of the time) to see. I knew I wouldn’t be up to having a big birthday bash but I wanted to do a little something to make the day special. All I planned was cupcakes with neighbors and even that ended up almost being too much for me to handle! But we pulled it off and had a very nice party.
Cupcakes had to be made during nap time. Unfortunately that involved using a very loud beater and had to be mixed up in the garage. Phil, sorry if this violates any Man Codes, but I had to use your work bench.

Lily did much better with her cupcake this year than last when it was all I could do to get her to even touch it!
Clara had no problem figuring out what to do with hers!
And finally a few gifts.
It was two years ago this skinny, wide eyed, precious little girl came into the world. What a sweet gift and a wonderful two years it has been.
