No one is surprised that I’m just getting around to Valentine’s Day I’m sure! I wanted to get this here to help me remember what we did and so I’d know what not to do next year. We made cards for our Grandparents, something I want to do every year, but run out of time and energy and since they’ve already gotten them (I hope!) I can show and tell them.
Cute and easy!
I wanted to make these bracelets for the girls to take to their classmates but they opted to go the candy route instead. “No Candy” = “No Fun”
I loved them and have kept this idea in mind since I saw them several years ago. But, I’m learning this, we can’t make our kids like something just cuz we do. Unfortunately, they have minds of their own. So I made them for my nieces and nephews, poor things. Maybe they liked them. Sheesh.
Lily’s card for Phil. I asked each of the girls what they “loved” about Daddy and left their little brains to work without my interference. I wrote down what they said.
Clara had some “classic Clara” responses.
Heart Chocolate Chip Pancakes for Clara to take to school. Her class eats breakfast together.
PBJ for Lily.
Treats for the classes. The girls saw these and liked them. Very cute I thought….then I started to make them. I struck out when I went to find pretty paper, them realized all the ways I could have simplified this a few days too late, they took forever and are no where near the cuteness I had in mind. But the girls were happy and with the M&Ms inside, no one cared what they looked like!
Next year I’m going STORE BOUGHT for Valentines!
Candy bars for the teachers.
I made these for ME!
Lily colored our St. Valentine for the cupcakes we ate after supper.
Lily remembered the Heart Pizza we had last year and has been asking about having another one for Valentines for several weeks now. I think this will have to be one of our traditions.
Gerhardt and Esther’s St. Valentine puppets.
Hope you all had a fun and blessed Feast of St. Valentine!
I love those valentines! Gerhardt and Esther are getting so artistic!
