Sometimes you just have to try to forget that the house looks like this and get outside!

Preparing for Christmas
Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015
The last days of Advent are here. Christmas is at the door and as exciting as it is, I feel the crushing weight of Christmas preparation. I strive to keep up with the daily as I long to prepare ahead of time what I want to have done for Christmas.
Freezer meals during Advent isn’t going to happen, the baking to have ready to enjoy Christmas day, probably not going to happen either.
But I so wanted the decorations ready to go cuz that’s the fun part of preparing. I keep saying, I’ll get them done just after I sweep up this mess.
Wash the kids clothes.
And deal with this house! Well, it’s not all going to get done before, so I try to do a bit of the Christmas fun and preparations in between all the not so fun parts.

I had every intention of going to the community center for a good work out and letting the babies play in the gym then hopping over to the library for their story time this morning. But it’s 9am, I haven’t had a cup of coffee or breakfast yet and it looks like this outside. I have a feeling not much will be happening today.

There are days when I look around and tell Phil,
“Our life is ridiculous.”
The house has been mess bombed. The kids are in the back yard, which has also been mess bombed – one is naked the others are screaming at each other. The baby is in the play house banging her head on the wall.
You just can’t seem to get anything done.
And then the back door falls off.
Its just so ridiculous you have to take pictures.
Laugh or cry. Or both in my case.
