The Transfiguration of Our Lord
Sunday, March 1st, 2015
Still catching up on some posts I’ve wanted to make this past month. The season of Epiphany ended with the Feast of the Transfiguration. This one snuck up on me, so did Lent this year. And every morning does too. How does 7 am role around so quickly everyday??!!
We celebrated the day by drinking Transfiguration Floats after supper. I’ve never given my babies “pop” so this was quite a treat. I used Sprite instead of Coke. I thought that would make a better “cloud.” It was fun watching Jesus, Moses and Elijah (the 3 scoops of ice cream) get “overshadowed” by our Sprite cloud.
“Fulfiller of the past
And hope of things to be,
We hail Thy body glorified
And our redemption see.”
Our Feast of Epiphany

January 6th, the Feast of Epiphany. This year we hosted some of our fellow “pastor family friends.” 6 grown ups and 13 kiddos in the house!
Advent At The Parsonage
Wednesday, December 17th, 2014
I could hardly believe it when we lit the third candle on our Advent wreath. The last couple weeks have been a blur of busy and sick. I’m plowing through the days with a long to do list, getting a lot done, just nothing on my list of course. That’s ok. We’re all tired and our waiting and preparing will come to an end soon.
I had hoped to have more house cleaning done by this point of Advent, also I’d wanted to start freezer meals and Christmas baking but I make do and receive what God sends for each day. As this season of life goes for me, just keeping up with the minimum has been enough work.
