At The Parsonage

The girls played “Mama and Daddy”. Must have been fancy date night!

I’m making good use of this belly while it’s around.

Gerhardt is making good use of his hair.

And we got the proofs for Lily’s first school pictures. We worked and worked with her before she left that morning on how to smile nice for the camera but we ended up with these mugshots. Well, it could’ve been worse….

I’m breathing a sigh of relief that our cooler days have brought. Finally I can get outside without wanting to die a thousand deaths. I know, I hear the Texans saying “cry me a river” as I type that, but y’all know we have our own special kind of misery up here 8 months out of the year that you all down there will never have, so who’s crying a river now? Oh, still me.

Anyway, it’s been a very mild week and we got some much needed rain so I’m happy to be getting to enjoy the summer a little before fall sets in.

At The Parsonage Part I

It’s been busy couple weeks at the parsonage. Our wildflower patch is finally blooming and not looking like weeds. Lily brought one in for me sans stem. They’re harder to pick than you think! Notice, I left the stack of newspapers in the picture for your viewing pleasure.

I can tell that the summer is coming to an end. Things seem to be picking up for us, I suppose everyone is squeezing in all those summer activities we enjoy before life gets “back to normal”.

We hosted the “Circuit Picnic” this year when all the pastors and their families in our area get together. We had a great turn out and some yummy eats!
