Phil and the girls came upon this dead cardinal on the sidewalk while walking to school. Lily really wanted to bury it so Phil brought him home. I’m not sure why it’s was more upsetting to see such a beautiful bird laying dead on the ground when so many others die and we don’t think much about those.

I can hardly believe Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK! I decided I’d better start our Thanksgiving fun or it will come and go without the wonder of Oreo, Reese’s, Whopper Turkey treats and that would be such a shame!

We’re getting settled back in again here at the parsonage. Ephraim is doing very well and even though we may never know what caused his set back we’re all just thankful that he seems to be on the mend. He is still not up to his birth weight but finally weighing in at 7 lbs, up from when we left the hospital, a good sign. He’ll continue to be weighed at our local clinic once a week to monitor his progress and of course we’ll all be looking out for any signs of regression. He is eating and sleeping so well, hopefully that continues too!
It’s good to be home but I have to say, being waited on and cooked for was kind of nice….
Yes, a girl could get used to this!
