Last week we drove over the bridge to Council Bluffs IA. The beautiful Union Pacific Railroad Museum is in Council Bluffs, if you’re ever there you have to go. It’s free and so well done with fun interactive activities for kids. Just our style.
Tonight they were hosting a Summer family fun night with a tour of a Fire Engine, hot dogs and BUBBLES!

Every once in a while we go over to the Wildlife Safari Park in Ashland. There are lots of animals and a lot less people than the Omaha Zoo. We hike around, picnic, pet some barnyard animals, gawk at the HUGE bison then head home. Four of the babies are down in Texas and four are home with us. So a couple weeks ago we went over for the afternoon. It makes a lighter trip but looks pretty strange to pull up in our 15 passenger van and only 6 people get out.

Anyone who’s is anyone know that the College World Series is held in Omaha in June. Tickets can be crazy for this thing but if you wait long enough, after many of the teams have been eliminated, tickets get cheaper and you can get good seats and take your boys to the ballgame.
