Poor Marthie. She was actually more mad that Josephine had pulled her hair than there being a honkin’ stick stuck up in there. I’m not sure she even knew about the stick which now that I think about it was probably put there by dear little Josephine.

It’s a true love affair for Martha and popcorn. Popcorn gets her through the last push of a long day. But occasionally even popcorn can’t give her that final push to the finish. It’s just too hard.
On those days I get absolute gold! This will be a Hale family classic.

The actual real life Leah and Butch came to visit us Tuesday afternoon! They were traveling from Alabama all the way to Wyoming but stopped in Omaha to bring us fried chicken and some good memories. Leah and Butch are the aunt and uncle who years ago sent Lily and Clara the famously famous stuffed monkey and bear we named….Leah and Butch.
I really wish the girls could have been here for their visit, they’ve never gotten to meet Uncle Butch before.
