A Bundle of Myrrh

"My beloved is unto me as a bundle of myrrh." Song of Solomon 1:13

Our St. Lucy Day

December 31st, 2021 by Aubri

December 13: Life’s been busy and with older kids having different schedules we have to adapt our saint day observances. Tonight we remember St. Lucy, the martyred saint of “light.” (I also use this day to add lights to our Christmas tree!)

This year Esther has the privilege of being our Lucy Maiden.

Rose can’t figure out what she’s gotten herself into.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Jesus our true light has come into the world.

Almighty God, who didst give Thy servant Lucia boldness to confess the Name of our Saviour Jesus Christ before the rulers of this world, and courage to die for this faith: Grant that we likewise may ever be ready to give a reason for the hope that is in us and to suffer gladly for His sake; through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
