Santa (who knew he was so limber!) came to town today. I hadn’t planned on taking the babies, but was enticed by the advertised free lunch and the desire to get out of the house. I also think we would have been missed in our small community so we decided to go.
We began the day in the usual lazy and crazy way.
Striped pajamas I love. I got these when Lily was born but decided to keep them for any baby boys we might have.
We finally got dressed and headed down town.

I remember when our friend Alix was Clara’s age.
As Santa got closer, Lily’s bottom lip came out further. But she handled his attention better than I’d expected!
Still not sure what to think about that big guy in red.
But definitely not going anywhere near him. “I hiding.” she kept saying. And that was it. No sitting on his lap or pictures of a screaming Lily this year. We left before we got any closer. Which was fine with all of us. I got what I wanted, my free lunch.

And does this baby have auburn hair or is it just me? I keep trying to capture just how much red is in there, but can’t seem to. We may have a ‘red head’ though!
