It’s officially Summertime and we’ve officially warmed up here in Nebraskie.
Sunday night we celebrated with a Summer supper.
Cilantro from the garden! I use cilantro in a lot recipes, I’m so happy that we have tons in the garden right now.
You must try this Carnitas recipe (added, cumin, garlic and lime juice to the pot). So easy, though a lengthy cook process, and so delicious.
Serve with fresh Guacamole and sweet sweet Watermelon (not from the garden…yet) for dessert! Mmm.
Garden gnomes pop up everywhere in the Summer and I always remember one of my favorite shows from my childhood, David the Gnome. I let the babies watch one the other day and it’s become a favorite with them as well.
I made their dolls into Gnomes for them.
Gnome homes.
Some books we like for Summer:
Fritz and the Beautiful Horses
Angelina’s Birthday Surprise
The Sun Egg
Little Quack’s Hide and Seek
Ten Little Ladybugs
