Sunny and Windy

Feels Like

Who’d have thought this would ever be? It’s hot enough to almost break a sweat outside. Now if we could just do something about these 45mph winds….

>Spring?

They say Spring is coming. I forget what that is but if the last couple of days are a taste of it, I want more! We hit 57 degrees yesterday! I haven’t felt that since October and back then it was cold. Yesterday it was a welcomed warmth I thought I’d never know again. There’s nothing like going outside without a coat, scarf, hat and gloves. What freedom!

Pictured above is ‘hanging laundry as seen from back porch’. I actually spent some time on our back porch!

Remnants of snow in our backyard.

What a difference a day makes. After yesterday teased us with “spring” we woke up to this. I’ve never seen snowflakes as big as those that fell this morning! So it’s farewell again to streets, rooftops, sidewalks and beautiful brown grass. Till we meet again….in another month or two…or maybe tomorrow?

>Sunny Sunday.

Sunday was beautiful! We hit 40 degrees and have started to see grass! Grass! Most of it’s brown, but I didn’t care. We could actually see the ground after 3 months of snow and ice!

In case you missed it…GRASS!

This is where all the snow in the village streets goes to die. It’s on the edge of town. We made the treacherous trek through the slush to get a closer look.

Our boldness paid off. We saw a car adapter poking out of the mass of mess! Phil thinks it will work. At least it will give him something to tinker with.
