Well we survived another snow storm. The snow drifts we woke up to this morning were pretty deep. Here’s the bench on our back porch.

And here’s our front porch.

And here are my famous Christmas biscuits!

We’ve been getting some nice snow fall the last couple of days and temperatures below 10 degrees. We should have 7-8 inches by tomorrow.

Mr. Vernon braving the weather to bring the paper to us!

Some bunny’s been on our porch.

Halloween Blues.

I called my mom today to whine about living where it will be perpetually COLD on Halloween night. Where it’s cold babies have to wear coats and probably hats if they have good mamas, neither of which do much for an adorable and well planned Halloween costume. So we’re doomed to only dress up as Molly the Mountain Climber or Susy the Snowman if we want to stay warm and be able to show off. I should have just gone with one of those woolly baby suit costumes that always looked way too warm while I was in Texas. They’re cute, easy and key word here….WARM. Oh well. I’ll be better prepared next year I hope!

Phil and I had our first “They must not be from around here” moment today. We were parked next to a family getting out of their van, all of them wearing “winter” coats. It’s only in the 50s. Phil’s in a short sleeve shirt and I’m bear legged in a skirt. At about the same time we said/thought the aforementioned phrase. They shut the van’s hatch and we glanced at their plate, sure enough it said Florida. Can we spot ’em or what? After two years up here I do believe we’ve gone native.
