Sunday Phil was finally able to get outside and start digging us out.

This drift was up to his shoulders!

We had to get out and play in all this snow a little bit so we started the 25 minute feat of bundling up.

Some of us look a lot cuter bundled up than others….

We FINALLY built a snowman! My 3rd winter here and it finally happened. We worked fast and furious though, it was cold if you couldn’t guess.

Blizzard Aftermath

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

It is truly beautiful, but not a comforting sign from God, as one Omaha pastor put it. 23 people are reported as dying in this storm, with at least six in Nebraska.
Our front door.

On the south side of the church the drifts look to be around 10 feet tall.

It will take quite a while to dig out from the snowstorm. In the country it might take days to clear the very tall drifts. Church tomorrow is still in question, especially for St. John’s, which is in the country on a gravel road.
