Well, we weathered the storm and Weslie and Kristina arrived in Bancroft Saturday night just fine right in the nick of time. Our blizzard blew through later in the evening and into Sunday morning.

Here’s what it left in its wake. We canceled church Sunday morning and spent the day cozy inside.

Thankfully the sun came out that afternoon and began to melt the snow. Good riddance snow!

Lily and Kristina got along very well from the beginning.

Uncle Weslie had to keep his distance.

Reading time! Lily thought about trading books with Kristina so she could learn what cows say in English but wasn’t sure about a book without pictures especially one on the proper distinction between Law and Gospel that Kristina was reading.

It was soooo good to have Mama, Aunty Sylvia, Sara and Elle visit Bancroft for a whole week! Lily had so much fun with her cousins, Grandmere and grrreat aunt.
Elle and Sara were delighted to see snow in Bancroft again. Here’s Elle conquering what’s left of “Mt. Hale”.
We had a birthday party for the girls on Monday. The gifts I shipped to Texas in January were returned to me (it seems the Post Office likes correct zip codes) so I was glad to keep them and be able to see them open them in person!
We made chocolate chip cupcakes!

Elle has begun to spread her wings in the kitchen. She does come from a long line of super cooks (no, her aunt Aubri is not included in that line)!
Here’s the apron I made for Elle.
Lily loved playing with her great aunt Fafa!
Phil took advantage of having Elle around. She makes a really comfy chair.
And she’s good at gathering rocks out of snow piles.
For St. Patrick’s Day we made shamrock pins.

And we ate shamrock cookies!
One of the finished pins. They were all really cute, I just forgot to get a picture.
My girls in their festive shirts.
We all wore our green.
We went down to Omaha for a while on Tuesday. Look how much fun we had at Borders drinking coffee!

On Thursday we made Stepping Stones. They turned out very nice.

Thanks for coming all the way to Nebraska ladies! I really enjoyed y’all being here. Come back again soon! Here are some more pictures of our week:

Randall and Christi came to visit this weekend. The boys had a Pastors Conference to attend, so we ladies and Ian spent the day doing lady things (sorry Ian)!

Lily learned to share her toys with Audrey and Ian.

Mostly because she realized Ian was a way better toy anyway.

When it came time for pictures, she had a time making sure Ian stayed still for the camera.

Okay, don’t move Ian!

My brother is the proud papa of my new niece Merrill Anne! Why is Texas so far away?
