>Neil and Verna were able to come up for Thanksgiving this year! I’m happy to report that I pulled it off for the third year in a row. It was a louder and busier house than last year but that’s how it should be right?

The third turkey mutilated by Phil.

Clara was not that happy to see her first turkey.

There was a lot of screaming right after this photo was shot. She may be a vegetarian.

Grandma and Grandpa brought Lily a tool set for Christmas since she loves helping her daddy so much.

She liked the gift but spent most of the week running from Grandpa.

Grandpa had Clara’s stamp of approval at least!

Grandpa made this beautiful bull and cart for the girls!

Verna taught me how to make these cute slippers for Clara!

Finally here are some photos of the four of us together!

Phil doesn’t like it when I put too many pictures “of the same thing” on the blog but sometimes it’s too hard to pick just a few to show off. So i’ve created a website that will be all photos all the time! And for the grandparents, you should be able to download or order what you’d like to have since I can keep them at a higher resolution there.

Here it is, hope you all enjoy!

>Uncle Wes’ Visit!

Just a few shots from the time Weslie spent with us!

I don’t think that’s fear in his eyes….hmm, don’t worry Kristina, I’m sure he’ll make a good daddy.

Once again my nieces and mom made the long trek north for a visit. I was so glad to have them here! They were excited to meet their newest cousin.

When in Nebraska…..

We laddies had martini night! Sandy, James, don’t worry, mom’s didn’t have any alcohol.

A mojito martini! Special thanks to Krissy!

Um, is it just us or is Lily almost as big as Elle?

We spent the afternoon at Summit Lake. Phil took the girls fishing!
And got them stuck in the weeds.

It was a little too chilly to swim (yes I said too chilly to swim…in JULY!!) so the girls just played in the sand.

A cool day didn’t stop Lily though. She’s a true thick blooded cornfed Nebraskan.

I told you, cornfed.

This is corn milk Clara’s drinking.

Clara says hey.

Lily is getting very close to walking by herself!

Our neighbor Vernon took let the girls drive his lawn mower around! Thankfully no mowing was involved here just a lot of fun.

And a visit to Nebraska isn’t complete without an evening of brewing beer. Phil let the girls help him out.

Boiling water.

Crushing grain.

Sara took over for Elle.

Thanks for coming everyone! We miss y’all!
