Not feeling well this week, the ladies here at least. So far Phil and the little guys haven’t gotten anything. The rest of us have fever, coughs and poor Esther the pukes.
This morning Clara said pathetically, “I’m ready to be unsick now.” Aren’t we all.

While watching the two sticks of butter go into the batter for homemade chocolate chip cookies Grandma Verna was making I declared, “Butter makes everything better.”
Lily responded, “Not butter…glitter!”
Correction, Glitter makes everything better.

Before bed while we prayed The Lord’s Prayer Lily asked our Father to:
“Give us this day our staley bread.”

I forgot to post this a while back but thought these comments were just too good to forget:
Lily asked me, “Who’s being good?” I believe I then raised my hand and with a big smile on her face she replied, “You’re gonna go to a special home!” I laughed as I thought this is probably the same way this conversation will go in about 50 years.
I told Clara that my laptop died. She then asked, “On the cross?”
Later that day one of the toy’s batteries died (finally). I told the girls the batteries had died and Lily excitedly declared, “Then they will go to heaven!”
And I loved the VBS song of Christ on Calvary that Lily kept singing as “Go and Tell the story of the Christ on Calorie.” It must be that new diet of hers…
