>Induction has begun
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009
Monday night we came to the hospital, but they did not induce. It turns out that Aubri was having contractions already, although they were not strong enough to be felt easily. So we tried to sleep last night, with moderate success. This morning at about 8:30am an IV with Pitocin was started. This should increase the strength of the contractions. Pitocin is the same medicine that we used last time with Lily. Lily was born about 4pm, so hopefully by this afternoon, we will have news to report.

Finally the 9th month is here. Our doctor said the baby probably won’t be early, which yes is a good thing, but boy am I ready. We’ve hit 90 degrees twice this week, oh the misery (what can I say, I think I’ve finally gotten my Nebraska blood). Plus another UTI and nasty cold. Needless to say, I’m too tired to do much but sit around and watch my house get dirtier. No crazy midnight scrubbing floorboards for me! I can hardly get off the couch to stop Lily from putting my very worn Crocs in her mouth. The other Hales have sent out an SOS and thankfully Mama and Verna are coming to the rescue in a week!
