Sometimes one of the babies will do something that makes me smile real big. Gerhardt’s been making me laugh a lot lately.

A couple weeks ago the big girls made paper mittens during craft time and decorated them. Then they ran down to their room to hang them on the wall over their beds. Gerhardt was pulling me to his room when I realized that he wanted to hang his “mitten” too.

What a difference a year makes! Here is Clara’s lunch sippy cup (she does usually drink from a big girl cup, but Mama is getting lazy) and Gerhardt’s cup, maybe you can tell whose is whose?

The days of baby/toddler eating mess seem long and arduous, but I have come to learn that there is an end…eventually. Not that we don’t have our preschooler eating messes, but it wanes and the complete disaster area becomes a more manageable fight. There is hope! And then it starts all over again.
