As is our holy week tradition we held a Lenten feast after the evening church service. This year Mercy helped me prepare the flat or unleavened bread for our meal.

On April 14th the week of Christ’s Passion was remembered. We began with Palm Sunday, one of my favorite days of the year. Traditionally we enjoy “Palm Sundaes” on this day but we were, well, Mama was too busy or tired or tired and busy to get cookies made this year. I think I might have even gone to rest early and Daddy took over supper time. I can’t remember now. In any case, Holy Week began. We waved our palms and sang Hosanna!

Our St. Patrick’s Day “weekend” began on Friday, cuz why should you only celebrate St. Patrick one day a year?
