Phil joined Lily for a dip in the pool. He just loves to splash in the water!

Clara is such a sweet and content baby. She often blesses us with little smiles. I almost caught one here.

Our strawberry patch has done pretty well. Next year we should get a good harvest!

Grandma’s touch!

Lily showed Grandpa how she can rock in the chair he made for her.

Verna made some new crib sheets and a bumper pad for Phil’s cradle. It looks very nice in the nursery and with Clara in it.

Maybe I’ve always had this problem, but lately it seems to be getting worse. I blame it on being pregnant of course, “preggy brain” they call it. Yes, that’s the official term for this medical condition. It manifests itself in many ways. I thought I’d share one of the symptoms I’ve been suffering from. I’ve been flitting around the house all day starting one thing, then another, then another and eventually remember the first thing and get back to it. I can’t seem to stay on task anymore. I start out the day washing the diapers and while that’s going I get toys soaking in the sink.

These two things happening simultaneously should be manageable, but I’ve also got to collect up all the dirty clothes to go in the washer after the diapers are done. And remember, I suffer from “preggy brain”.

In the middle of that Lily lets me know it’s time to feed her.

I can’t hold her anymore while I do this because she’s too heavy on my tummy. I don’t know what I’ll do once my lap is too small to prop her on. This makes me feel like a bad mommy but my mind wonders off to more important things like what I’m gonna make for lunch in 20 minutes and if Lost will be a new episode this week, and if I’ll ever get the Pampered Chef stuff I ordered back in December. Then I remember that wet diapers have been in the washing machine for an hour and still have two more cycles left. So it’s off to the laundry room. And oh yeah, the toys need to be scrubbed now. They’ve soaked long enough.

And this clean laundry from last week and still needs to be put away.

And I think Lily’s walker is still in our room because I started to clean our room the other day but went to do something else and never got back to it. It all seems endless at this point, like nothing will ever get done but before I get depressed about that I’ve got to go change Lily’s diaper!

Sorry Lily!

When I went to make supper tonight I found this. Of course I forgot to clean out the coffee grounds from the pot this morning. Gross. Now I’m thinking I need some ice cream and another cup.

Even with all the interruptions either from myself or from a sweet little lady, eventually everything gets done. It may take a week, but it does. Does anyone know any good “Life Coaches” or maybe just a good maid?

We got a big pile of snow in our front yard again this year. Phil hasn’t been able to make his igloo but I was glad to see that Mt. Hale is not going to waste. These boys found a good use for it!
Snowboarding. Wish I’d thought of that!

Phil had a big day ice fishing! See what he brought home for mama!

I prefer they look this way.
