Today we took all our babies to sitters and have the entire day to do whatever we want without any of our little dears underfoot. We cooked steaks for lunch, had chocolate dipped pears for dessert and now I’m pretending to be at my favorite local coffee shop drinking coffee and listening to…well, Christmas music cuz it’s never too soon, never gets old and just makes me happy, so there. It’s not Costa Rica but hey, IT’S QUIET!

I have to say, all acts of darkness and cat abductions aside, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and we’ve certainly been enjoying the days leading up to it.

Phil wanted to get rid of some beer, so we had our first, maybe annual, Oktoberfest Friday night. Unfortunately we didn’t have any wurst or saur kraut or chicken dancing, but we did have a German polka band…streaming through my computer.

We’re all a little under the weather here with sniffles and coughs. I’m really under however, with a chest cold, some fever and alas much pain in my mouth! It seems to be one thing after another lately. The amount of cold medicine, Advil and vicodin I’m taking just doesn’t seem right but I’d be a mess without it. Your continued prayers would be very appreciated!
