August 18: I’ll admit the first week of school was rough. So many tech issues and well, sitting at the table on the tablet most of the day is hard for EVERYONE! Do I need to say especially if you’re 5…or 7? We got through it and I began to dread the next couple months but miracle of miracles Friday night we were told by the district that K-2nd graders would only be required to “attend” in the mornings. Shew. I can handle that…I think.
I also realized our set up would have to change if this was going to keep “working.” We did some shuffling after the first few days and finally got a better placement for everyone.

The end of May and the month of June. When we couldn’t imagine that the world would get any crazier, it did. I retreat and find solace within the walls of my crazy home. As wild as it is in here, it’s just too much for me “out there.” I quit Facebook finally. After years of knowing I should but never pulling that trigger. It feels good.
I’m now the mother of 10 and I strongly sense the pull to once again make I Thessalonians 4:11 my theme for the year, as I did several years back:
“..make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands…”
