Phil can’t stand when grown ups respond to babies as if they’re actually saying something an English speaking adult would understand, so this one is for him.

Clara had something to say too.

Verna gave me a lot of pictures of little Philip while she was here. I couldn’t help but notice some similarities in our daughters and their daddy. Clara looked just like Phil at first, she seems to be changing some now, but that nose is definitely his and there’s something about that mouth too.

Then there is of course those eyes Lily has. Those are Phil’s for sure!

They could be twins!

I have to throw a few extra pictures in here. Here’s Phil c. 1981-82 working away in the garden (and with the cane (?) he looks a little like “Benjamin Button” yes?) and pictured below c. 2008 working away in his garden. I guess he’s always had a little farmer in his blood.

I know all the hair hasn’t escaped anyone’s notice has it?

And this one is for all my Alabama relations. Phil was saying “Roll Tide” long before “Hook ‘Em Horns” or even “Go Big Red” (if he would ever say that and I’m not saying he does.)!

I had to post this video I got last week, Lily giving Grandmere zerberts!

Lily loves giving Clara kisses.

I’m really missing “The Moms”!

I got a Moby wrap for Clara. She sleeps so well in it while we’re out. I thought I might use it more at home, but so far it hasn’t worked out. Maybe when she gets a little bigger I can do more around the house while she’s in it.

Lily and Clara are going to be little models in the “Bridal Dress Fashion Show” coming up next weekend during our towns big 125th anniversary celebration (Quasquicentennial). This is a dress a flower girl wore in my friend Wendy’s wedding. The girl was 2 years old, but the dress fits our 1 year old very well! Clara will be wearing a baptismal dress from 1953. I’ll of course provide pictures of them later.
Clara’s first time in a cloth diaper! She had so much fun!
