Fall is officially here and it sure is lovely. We’re getting cool days, cold nights and beautiful colors. The girls and I had to get out of the house this week. We spent some time at the Neihardt Center playing with rocks and one of us got a nice snooze.

The girls are becoming best buds already. Lily shares everything with Clara. Even her sippy cup.
And her church bulletin. She’s so nice. They are sisters after all!
Lily is getting a little better at being gentile with Clara.
Sometimes that is.
Clara loves watching Lily do anything. She’s sooo funny.

Is it normal for a baby to be this “chill” in her highchair?
Is it normal for a baby to be this cute???
More corn for supper.
Clara’s getting big and strong. I don’t think Lily held her head up this well at this age.
Lily loves wearing my flip flops.
I couldn’t believe when I saw her trying to put these beads back together. She almost had it then she picked up her bottle and well, who can drink a bottle and put snap beads back together?
Lily has so much fun with the matrushka dolls Neil and Verna brought back from Alaska for her.
*Interesting note:
Russian Matrushka Dolls—A Traditional Symbol of Motherhood
Among Russian peasants, the name Matryona or Matriosha was a popular female name. The Latin root “mater” means mother. These names are associated with the image of a portly woman presiding over a large Russian family.
Hmmmmm. Am I supposed to see some connection here guys?
Here’s me and Lily being silly.

“Some women are dripping with diamondsSome women are dripping with pearls
Lucky me! Lucky me!
Look at what I’m dripping with
Little girls!”
This was one of my “Miss Hannigan” days.
Lily and Clara are starting to play together so well! But Clara hogs the pots and gets so mad when Mama scolds her and tells her to share.
Our “Little Lutheran” (note shirt I thought was HUGE when someone gave it to us at the baby shower for Lily, but I had to get it out for her to wear before she outgrows it!)
Our sweet corn is ready for harvesting. Some of the ears are pretty big.
