I’m just saying something here reminds me of those dancing hippos in Fantasia….

In case you missed them…

On the toes again.

My cake plate has always been so hard to get to…until now!

>8 Months Old.

8 months old! Clara seems to learn new things everyday. She is starting to crawl on her hands and knees a little instead of her old standby army crawl, which is a good thing since her left arm is starting to chafe. She’s also starting to pull up and stand at short things like stairs or step stools. And boy can she eat! And not just what she finds on my carpet (though that’s still a favorite). Jarred baby food is getting old, she wants the real stuff now. It’s so fun to have a child that will eat! She’s really learning to hold her own against her big sister too. She’s one tough cookie, she’ll roll over, crawl over or eat anything in her path. Phil has renamed her “Clarian the Barbarian”.

“Be not fooled by this silly bow, I eat bows for dinner!”

“And baby lambs! Fear my vicious toothies!”

Our little (big) Clara is seven months old. She weighs in at a little over 19 lbs, reaches 28 inches long and never stops. But don’t let that cute face fool you. This ball of baby will eat you out of house and home with a two toothed grin on her face, leave a wake of soggy socks, slippers or shoes in her wake, destroy any piece of paper in her path and teach you the hard way what brooms and vacuum cleaners are for. We don’t call her “Clara the Terra” for nothing.

Align CenterThe world is Clara’s oyster, she’s everywhere she wants to be. It’s so strange to us to have a baby that is ‘army crawling’ and already all over the place. All of the sudden my 6 month old baby is in the kitchen and we’re having to watch where we step!

And already a pro in the walker.
