We decided to go to the big city today to get Phil some new clothes and do some reading and Peppermint Mocha drinking. We ate lunch then hit some stores and grabbed a couple groceries. Then we got a call from our sitter that Lily was screaming when she was going potty and she suspected that Lily might have a bladder infection. We hurried home and the clinic being closed advised us to take her into the hospital because she might spike a fever in the night if we didn’t get some medicine for her soon.
Phil took her in but because he couldn’t get her to potty there there wasn’t much that could be done. They sent him home with a dosage of antibiotics to give her until we could get a urine sample they could test.

Our first born turned 2 years old in July. We had quite a busy summer so my tradition of battling it out to get a good portrait was sidelined until last week. I wouldn’t even know how to begin talking about how much she has grown. She certainly is not a baby anymore. She’s our big girl, the big sister, the little mama. Bossy, nurturing, precocious and such a book worm. It’s so strange to hear her speaking in complete sentences and fun to watch her copy everything we do. She is finally and definitely potty trained now and there is much rejoicing! What a joy to see all the little and big ways she’s changing. I’m so proud.
