Last friday we went to our high school football game to watch what turned out to be a pretty exciting game. Bancroft won by two points against the team that won state last year! Clara had fun but had more important things to watch.

And Lily had popcorn that needed to be eaten, her first time eating it and she loves it!

It got really chilly after the sun went down, we were glad we dressed warm!

>Fall.

>Fall is officially here and it sure is lovely. We’re getting cool days, cold nights and beautiful colors. The girls and I had to get out of the house this week. We spent some time at the Neihardt Center playing with rocks and one of us got a nice snooze.

Exploring outside.

I took the girls for a walk yesterday and we stopped by the Neihardt Center so Lily could practice walking in her new shoes. She didn’t do much walking but had so much fun playing with the rocks and berries on the ground. It’s times like this that make me so happy to be able to just sit and watch her and know that I don’t have anything else more important to do.

Clara took a snooze in the cool breeze.

Phil and I went to the “Largest Rummage Sale in the Mid-West” near Omaha today. We dug through piles of clothes and found some pretty good stuff. For just $27 we bought a coat, jackets, pants, shorts, shirts, PJs sweaters, a cap and a life vest for Lily. Our high dollar item was the winter coat we sprung for at $3. Not my favorite color (eggplant maybe?) but for $3 I couldn’t say no. Below are some of my favorite finds.

I couldn’t pass up the duck sweater and hey, it was a $1!

Some adorably crazy knit pants.

This super soft jumper or is it a romper? I’m not sure what the difference is.

We also found this cute kid…or is it Don King?

We’ll be hitting up a couple more sales this month. We still need another crib and some clothing Lily can wear while playing in the snow this winter that is quickly, oh so quickly, approaching.
