Saturday the kids perked up after being sick and since the girls had been out of school and we hadn’t done much for fun we headed “all the way to Iowa” as Lily said, to the Union Pacific Railroad Museum in Council Bluffs, just across the river from us.

We had amazing weather last week and a day out of school so Phil took 6 of the babies to the zoo. He got some cute pictures I had to share.

Well, at least my pumpkins were. Just around the corner is a free huge no frills pumpkin patch, perfect for us. Unfortunately most of the pumpkins were gone this late in the season. The only ones left were icky yuck yucks, but there were gourds a pleanty still hiding out and really it was just fun for the babies to run around.
Next year we’re gettin’ here earlier!

For Gerhardt’s birthday we thought it would be neat to check out the Wildlife Safari. We looked it up and found out they had WOLVES! So it was a no brainer. Gerhardt + Wolves = Yes.
