Due to some unfortunate technical difficulties I haven’t been able to post any updates recently. I apologize for the loss this has been to all of our faithful readers! Here are some highlights of the last few weeks.

Swinging all by herself or clinging for her dear life with everything that she has?

We got a little snow this week.

Its finally time to put out the Christmas decorations! They’re sparse this year and (hopefully) well out of reach.

I was happy to add another stocking to the bunch!

I’ve wanted an advent calendar for some time now but haven’t found just the one I want. I saw this idea online to use a muffin tin. Since I had all the materials I figured I’d make it for this year. It only has 12 cups so I’ll have to add more days after the 12th. Lily has enjoyed finding a Teddy Graham behind each door every morning.

>Neil and Verna were able to come up for Thanksgiving this year! I’m happy to report that I pulled it off for the third year in a row. It was a louder and busier house than last year but that’s how it should be right?

The third turkey mutilated by Phil.

Clara was not that happy to see her first turkey.

There was a lot of screaming right after this photo was shot. She may be a vegetarian.

Grandma and Grandpa brought Lily a tool set for Christmas since she loves helping her daddy so much.

She liked the gift but spent most of the week running from Grandpa.

Grandpa had Clara’s stamp of approval at least!

Grandpa made this beautiful bull and cart for the girls!

Verna taught me how to make these cute slippers for Clara!

Finally here are some photos of the four of us together!

Happy Halloween and Reformation Day! We had such nice weather for Trick-or-Treating tonight. It was still pretty chilly so I had to dress the girls a little warmer but considering how it has been up here, it was great!

I’m ignoring the prohibition on “tons of pictures” for this post cuz we got so many cute ones!

Phil’s little inner engineer really got to shine when carving our pumpkins!

I was just the clean out/up crew.

Clara as the sweetest UT cheerleader ever!

Lily as the sweetest fairy ever!

We took the girls downtown to Trick-or-Treat our local businesses. (Sorry, this picture has been modified to spare all the horror that is me. Apparently sunglasses add 100 pounds…I know it couldn’t be all the “Skinny Cows” I’ve been eating lately.)

We stopped by the Munderlohs to see how we made out. I say “we” knowing you all know I mean Phil.

The pumpkins turned out really well!

This one was my favorite.

Ok, time for bed!

I called my mom today to whine about living where it will be perpetually COLD on Halloween night. Where it’s cold babies have to wear coats and probably hats if they have good mamas, neither of which do much for an adorable and well planned Halloween costume. So we’re doomed to only dress up as Molly the Mountain Climber or Susy the Snowman if we want to stay warm and be able to show off. I should have just gone with one of those woolly baby suit costumes that always looked way too warm while I was in Texas. They’re cute, easy and key word here….WARM. Oh well. I’ll be better prepared next year I hope!
