I celebrated Valentine’s Day by putting a red bow in Lily’s hair and that almost didn’t happen. I had such a busy week getting ready for an open house we hosted on Saturday that by Sunday I was worn out and had no valentines to exchange or mail or even think about. I was too worried about Phil driving to his vacancy church that morning in “white out/blizzard conditions” and whether or not we would be getting to church that day to do anything for my sweeties. Oh well.

But I did make some cute cupcakes for our open house that I topped with cherries in honor of Valentine’s Day. That counts right?

Why lies He in such mean estate,
Where ox and ass are feeding?
Good Christians, fear, for sinners here
The silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spear shall pierce Him through,
The cross be borne for me, for you.
Hail, hail the Word made flesh,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.

Here’s Christmas day at our house. Clara seemed a little nervous about what to do on her first Christmas and what this huge lion was doing on the couch.

But after she saw all the ribbons and paper she really cut loose!

Lily’s second Christmas and she’s NOT a baby anymore! Remember last year…..

sigh…where’d that baby go?

The kiddies spent the morning opening and playing with their toys…

We hope you all had a happy and safe Christmas day and continue to celebrate the birth of our Savior through this Christmas season!
