Finally I’m able to update a few details from our Easter Sunday festivities. A family from our church graciously hosted our family for Easter lunch.
Mrs. Sandy read the stories she has authored through the years about a character called “Wendy Witch.” Sandy’s talents are legion! I just might start calling her Wendy.
We had just enough time to grab a bit of desert to go home with us. The desert table was delightfully full of delightful delectables. Mercy determined however, that the Grasshopper Pie was in fact not one of her “delights.” One lick of a Grasshopper covered Oreo and it went right back into the pie! I hastily ran around the table and recovered the licked Oreo. I found it quite delightful myself. So, Sandy, if you found a piece of pie missing an Oreo, now you know why.
And here is why I’m glad I held off on buying Easter candy for our family Easter basket! So.Much.Candy came home from our hunts. We are blessed and getting fatter by the minute.
These were a cute gift from another family. Dishcloth Bunnies with a sweet poem and an egg. We are so blessed to have so many church members who think of us, open their homes to us and share their family celebrations with us.
What a fun day! How nice to have such a great place to celebrate with family and friends!
