This weekend one of the Greek Orthodox churches held their annual festival. Since Phil and I like eating gyros we went over to check it out. I’m glad we did.

Of course we had the usual reactions to our family which I’m glad the babies haven’t really noticed yet. But I think the day is coming when they will begin to ask us why people say what they say and look at us the way we do. Or maybe not. Maybe it will just become normal to them…sadly.

I think Clara was all sourpuss because she couldn’t have any Greek beer, not in public at least. She also wanted more fries. She gets the same look her Mama does when her Mama runs out of fries.

It was great to get to see the little Greeky kids do their traditional folk dances. I was hoping it was a boon to our kiddos in really working hard to learn their German folk dances. *Oh and newsflash. My mom found a German ancestor on my side! I’m so happy to be legit at the German American Society now and not a total poser!*

After the dancing there was a tour in the sanctuary. Beautiful beautiful!

I am so amazed and happy to see all the cultural experiences y’all have in Omaha, and I love how the children participate! Must watch “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” again! Greek Lily is so cute!

Your little Greek girl needs to eat more; there’s no meat on her ribs.
